Do you think there’s a difference in how you respond to change you choose/initiate vs. change that happens to you/is outside of your control? Is there a difference? What are some ways you’ve shown up for these different change types in your life?
I so think we react differently to change if we're in the drivers seat (which is often why it's so important to bring key impacted teams into the conversations early. Sometimes being at the table can make it feel more like a choice). BUT i also think resistance still exists in changes you choose... but it seems to show up earlier.. like before you officially choose to change (for me) there is often such resistance and doubt and procrastination/avoidance. Usually that's my internal sign that a change is even necessary.
